“Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it”.
- Mark Twain
This was quoted decades ago when global warming wasn’t even heard of. However in today’s world the threat of global warming is a greater problem on our hands than most.
Car emissions like CO2 and nitrogen gas are largely responsible for the damaged state of our environment. Did you know that a gallon of gasoline is estimated to produce 8.8 kilograms of CO2, now multiply that by the number of gallons you fill up every month (3.79 liters = 1 gallon). Considering that 1 liter of petrol in Mumbai costs Rs.73.74, need anything more be said?
A big step forward in battling global warming is the introduction of LPG fuelled cars. The all new Maruti Suzuki WagonR Duo is one such car. The new Duo works on both LPG as well as petrol. It is BS IV compliant which means it has the lowest emission levels in its class that makes it the most environmentally friendly car you could own.
The technologically advanced Duo mode is comparable to the petrol mode. And at a simple convenience of a switch you could quickly switch from the LPG mode to Petrol if you’re in the mood to burn some rubber. Or just cruise along in the LPG mode knowing that apart from enjoying a lovely drive, you’re also contributing in a little way towards the restoration of our much damaged planet, Earth. The WagonR Duo marks the way forward in the struggle against global warming.
Additionally, the LPG kit in the Duo is factory fitted and hence is absolutely safe and recognized by relevant Government agencies. To add to it the provision of 60:40 split seats is given in order to accommodate luggage space in spite of the LPG cylinder in the boot.
The environment has given us everything we have food, water and shelter, all we have done in return is abused it to an extent where we do not have that liberty anymore. We have to collectively make an effort to reduce our carbon footprint as this is the only planet we have. We are at the crossroads where we could wake up and do something or just not care, as we have for so many years.
